Today I am delighted to be taking part in the blog tour for The Cornish Cream Tea Wedding by Cressida McLaughlin

Synopsis
The perfect summer read from the number one bestselling author of The Canal Boat Cafe.
Love is in the Cornish summer air…
Wedding planner Ellie Moon is dreaming up the most beautiful bespoke wedding for Charlie and Daniel, owners of Cornwall’s favourite cream tea bus. Even though her own life has been turned upside down and she’s had to rent out her charming Cornish cottage with its climbing roses and lavender beds, Ellie is determined to give them a day to remember.
Her new tenant, handsome mechanic Jago, keeps popping up around the picture-postcard seaside village of Porthgolow. When they’re thrown together in the effort to help his elderly father get a spring back in his step, she discovers that he is full of surprises. Can romance bloom and give Ellie the fresh start she’s been wishing for?

My thoughts
It was such as delight to return to the small seaside village of Porthgolow. I visited previously at Christmas time and so it was like returning to see an old friend to revisit the village and faces old and new.
This time we are in the company of Ellie as she finds herself planning the wedding of hotel owner Daniel and his fiancé Charlie, proud owner of the now very familiar, Cornish Cream Tea bus. Poor Ellie has been facing difficult times and in an effort to make ends meet has decided to rent out her beloved cottage and move in with her sister.
Life becomes even more complicated when she meets her new lodger Jago. The road ahead is full of ups and downs but I really liked Ellie and hoped that perhaps, this time, the happy ever after would fall to her. There are mounts to climb before she can get there.
I really enjoyed this delightfully cosy novel. Cressida has again created an engaging, warm and uplifting read. She paints such a wonder picture of Porthgolow that I was instantly transported to lovely Cornwall. The setting is as much a part of this story as the characters and both worked together to keep me in it’s hold. The perfect piece of escapism featuring Cornwall, weddings, romance and a gatecrashing pig thrown in for good measure. The perfect antidote to real life.
Thank you so much to Anne Cater for inviting me to take part in this blog tour and to the publisher for sending me a review copy. It was such a joy to return to one of Cressida’s stories and I hope this won’t be the last visit to Porthgolow!
